The basement of the Balsillie School of International Affairs campus was to be constructed below the ground water elevation. The basement slab needed to be designed to resist uplift due to hydrostatic pressure. The geotechnical engineer recommended Chance Helical Anchors to be installed to tie down the basement slab. EBS Geostructural completed the anchor installation in five working days.
